Beach Slang - The Deadbeat Bang Of Heartbreak City LP

Image of Beach Slang - The Deadbeat Bang Of Heartbreak City LP

Beach Slang is back with the first addition of 2020 and their third LP overall. This record is on red vinyl and it's released by BRIDGE NINE RECORDS. Holy crap! I thought this band would go to a huge label. They're keeping it real with an indie label that has their act together and can get their music everywhere that music is sold. Seeing the B9 logo alongside the Rolling Stone Magazine logo on the hype sticker is great.

If you're new to Beach Slang, they're sort of like today's really good Replacements knock-off. That's not to diminish the value of their music. It's meant as a compliment. Soul Asylum and Goo Goo Dolls have both had excellent runs with that style when mixed with their own great songs. Does Beach Slang have what it takes to bring it to the masses? We'll see.
